COUNCIL OF ELDERS’ PROFILE

PASTOR ADEBAYO ADARAMOLA (General Overseer)

Pastor Adebayo Funso Adaramola (Pastor Bayo) LL. B; BL; FICMC; JP, was born on the 6th September 1960 to the family of Professor (Sir) Funso Adaramola (of blessed memory) and Elizabeth Adebisi Adaramola.

He attended St. Barnabas Primary School in Ilorin, Kwara State and the then-Holy Trinity Primary School, Ibo Road, Sabon Gari Kano in Kano State from where he proceeded to the Cherubim and Seraphim College, Ilorin Kwara State. He graduated from the school in 1977 and proceeded to the School of Basic Studies, Kwara State College of Technology (Now Kwara State Polytechnic) where he obtained his ‘A Level’ Cambridge. In 1980 he was admitted to the University of Maiduguri, Borno State from where he graduated in Law in the 2nd Class Upper Division and top of his Civil Law Class in 1985. He obtained his BL. (Bachelor of Laws) from the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos in 1986; again, with a 2nd Class Upper Division.

After his compulsory National Youth Service, he went into private legal practice, and in 1990, he established Summit Law Firm (Bayo Funso Adaramola & Co) and has remained the Principal Partner of the firm till date. In 2008, he was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Consultants and a Jerusalem Pilgrim.

He was in the past: President, Youth Fellowship Light Chapel, Kano Assembly; General Secretary, Jesus is Light Ministries, Assistant Resident Pastor and Resident Pastor of Light Chapel Kano. He was appointed Assistant General Overseer (North Central) in 2009 and was elevated to the position of General Overseer and member of Council of Elders in April 2024.

He is married to Deacon (Mrs) (Barr.) Jummai Adaramola and they are blessed with four Godly children: Olumide, Oreoluwa, Shekinah-Glory and Olawale Miracle.

PASTOR MARK OLANIYI

Pastor Mark Olaniyi’s secular educational career started at the age of seven and ended with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2001. After a long time in the teaching profession, he presently sits as a Board Member of Dearborn School in Ijeododo, Lagos. His spiritual development began in 1993 when He met Jesus Christ at Light Chapel, Lagos. He has graciously risen through the ranks to become the National Coordinator of Zonal Pastors in Light Chapel. He is happily married to Elder (Mrs.) Olufunke Olaniyi and blessed with children, to the glory of God.

PASTOR AWAZIE CHIBUIKE SUNDAY

Pastor Awazie Chibuike Sunday. A Graduate of Accounting from Yaba College of Technology. He holds MBA from Ondo state University and a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation (CITN). He is the C.E.O of Destiny Confectionaries located in Lagos, Nigeria He currently heads the Directorate of Finance of Jesus is Light Ministries He is happily married to Elder (Mrs. Anthonia.N. Awazie and blessed with Children.

PASTOR OLADIPO DARAMOLA

Pastor Oladipo Stephen Abiodun Daramola is a graduate of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where he obtained National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Business Administration.

After his salvation in 1982, the hunger to get deeper knowledge of the Word of God led him to become a member of Deeper Christian Life Church, Lagos, where he enrolled with the church’s International Bible Training College, (IBTC), Ayobo, Lagos to obtain a Diploma Certificate in Theology. He also obtained a Diploma in Christian Studies from Abundant Life Gospel Mission in 1994, among many other Bible institutions, within and outside Nigeria.

He started fellowshipping with Light Chapel in 1997 and he became a Deacon in Sept.1998, a Minister in May 2001 and a Pastor in 2002.

He has served in different capacities over the years as: Coordinator of the House Fellowship. Coordinator of the Evangelism Department, Coordinator of the Prayer Warrior, Coordinator of the Children Department, Coordinator of the Christian Education Dept, and Coordinator of the Teenagers’ Department.

In 2001, the founder of Jesus is Light Ministries, Apostle Oluwagbemiga Ola Ojo appointed him as the Principal of Jesus is Light Ministries Bible School. He has also been the Ministry’s Assistant National Secretary and later the National Secretary, until April 2024.

Because, God has called him into the full-time Ministry, he has over the years become a great Bible teacher, Counsellor and Pastor to many believers and many Church and Ministries and has been able to serve God conveniently with all his heart till date. He is happily married, and his marriage is blessed with lovely children to the glory of God.

ELDER MODUPE IGBALAJOBI

Modupe Igbalajobi, a lawyer by profession, was born in Abeokuta, Ogun state to the late founder of the Ministry; Apostle Gbemiga Ola-Ojo, and the former General Overseer; Pastor Emily Ola-Ojo.

She was ordained an Elder in April 2024 and appointed a member of the Council of Elders of the Church at the same time.

She has always supported the church from the background and is happy to serve fully as part of the Council to further help expand the work of the Ministry.

Modupe lives in the UK, where she continues to practice as a lawyer. She is happily married to Mr. Ademola Igbalajobi, and they are blessed with lovely children.
