Supersonic Testing Services, a leader in non-destructive testing (NDT) in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Ultrasonic Testing Technician Trainee. In this exciting role, you'll play a critical part in upholding the safety and integrity of materials used by major aerospace manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
Participate in a comprehensive training program to become a certified Level I NDT technician in ultrasonic testing (UT).
Assist senior technicians with the setup and calibration of UT equipment.
Prepare parts for UT inspection, ensuring cleanliness and proper surface preparation.
Conduct basic UT inspections following established procedures.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
Participate in preventative maintenance of UT equipment and the testing facility.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong math and mechanical aptitude.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A desire to learn and develop a career in Non-destructive Testing
