Job Description

About the Role:
The Project Engineer will provide technical support and coordination for the Project Manager and Super Intendant. The right PE will be able to support the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and closeout activities.

Position Information:

Full-time, benefits eligible.
The position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Standard work hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
This position is full-time on-site 4-5 days a week in Oceanside, California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and Design: Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop detailed project plans and designs.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Review cost estimates and budgets to ensure projects are financially feasible.
• Scheduling: Support project managers in developing project schedules and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Site Management: Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Resource Allocation: Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize project efficiency.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, contractors, and other stakeholders for clear, effective communication.
• Problem Solving: Address technical challenges and logistical issues as they arise.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation and prepare regular progress reports.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience working on public works or schools.
• Experience in construction project coordination or engineering support.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• OSHA certifications are a plus.
