Job Summary:

The Kitchen Prep Cook is responsible for preparing and organizing ingredients, setting up workstations, and following provided prep lists and recipes to support the efficient operation of the kitchen. This role ensures food safety, cleanliness, and timely preparation while assisting chefs and other kitchen staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute daily prep lists, including preparing sauces, cooking, portioning ingredients, washing produce, chopping vegetables, and cutting meat/poultry according to recipes.
• Set up and maintain organized workstations to ensure efficient food preparation.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, time, and temperature guidelines.
• Inspect kitchen equipment for safety hazards and promptly report concerns to management.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth workflow and timely dish preparation.
• Assist at offsite events by cooking and plating appetizers, salads, entrées, and desserts while ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Support additional tasks such as receiving deliveries, organizing storage areas, and general kitchen duties.
• Monitor inventory, rotate stock, and notify the chef or manager when supplies are low.
