Job Description

LHH has partnered with a construction company in search for a detail-oriented payroll specialist to manage their weekly payroll cycles. If you have experience processing payroll within the construction industry and are bilingual – please apply right away!

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Administer weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried staff
  • Stay in compliance with labor standards and prevailing wage requirements
  • Keep precise payroll documentation for construction contracts
  • Apply deductions such as including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
  • Reconcile employee hours, leave balances, and timekeeping records
  • Coordinate with project leads, contractors, and subcontractors to verify payroll data
  • Submit certified payroll documentation on time
  • Assist with audits and regulatory reviews
  • Monitor changes in labor laws and provide training as needed
  • Maintain well-organized payroll files and compliance records

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing and certified payroll reporting, ideally within the construction sector
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Familiarity with CA labor compliance, including DIR, Davis-Bacon, PSA/PLA, Section 3, and union agreements
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop, LCPtracker, Procore, and similar systems
  • Experienced in job costing, timecard management, and batch payroll uploads
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
