Job Description

Job Location: 385 Southwood Court, Bowling Green, KY 42101

Position Type: contract( 9 months) with possible extension

Pay Rate $23/hr on w2 with Benefits

Position will train on Day Shift, 8am-4:30pm, Mon – Friday – training will last 4-8 weeks (depends on the person)

After training, position will move to 2nd shift schedule – 2pm – 10:30pm, Sun – Thurs or Tues – Sat – we are flexible on which grouping of days is worked, but must be one of these.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science field or relevant work experience
• Skilled in use of PC software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with SAP, relevant ISO standards, and/or auditing preferred
• Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities
• Minimum 1 year experience with microbiological testing required
• Experience with hygienic sampling & hygienic plating required

Responsibilities:

• Finished product and raw material testing
• Gram-staining
• Stocking of inventory, media, and reagents, managing laboratory waste
• Environmental monitoring including testing process water, air sampling, and swabbing of equipment (limited)
• Plate reading and communication of results
