Essential Job Functions

As a Junior Project Manager for our client, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of full-scale residential renovations. This includes full execution of construction operations—from scope confirmation and scheduling to contractor oversight and quality assurance. You will manage several concurrent projects, most of which involve complete gut renovations, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with the internal design and acquisitions team, coordinate crews, and support ongoing company growth in the Capital Region.

The goal for this hire is to build on the company’s existing systems and play a vital role in scaling operations by increasing efficiency, ensuring quality, and mentoring or collaborating with other project managers as volume grows.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct property walkthroughs, confirm scopes of work, validate budgets, and prepare for active renovation.
  • Oversee 4–6 residential renovation projects at a time, ensuring timelines, quality, and project goals are met. Coordinate directly with in-house design teams and multiple subcontractor crews.
  • Manage rotating contractor crews, assess performance, and ensure they follow set specifications. Help source new crews if needed to support growth.
  • Ensure contractors have access to SKU sheets and instructions for material sourcing.
  • Collaborate with the internal design team during project initiation walkthroughs to finalize scope changes, layout adjustments, and finish selections.
  • Conduct regular job site reviews to identify and resolve construction or safety issues and ensure work is up to code and company standards.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding project status, updates, and any challenges that arise.

Position Qualifications

  • Ideally 1 to 2 years of residential project management experience
  • Able to work independently and provide leadership within a growing team environment.
  • Capable of juggling multiple residential renovation projects while maintaining high-quality execution and timeline discipline.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of all renovation phases, including framing, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and finishes.
  • Ability to spot workmanship issues or potential failures, from improper tiling or taping to code violations, and correct them promptly.
  • Adept at coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth workflows and timely resolution of issues.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
