Aurex Group is partnered with a Tier 1 Global Energy Company looking to hire a Corporate Finance & Investment Associate to join their natural resources team.

This role will have broad energy investment exposure across all natural resources including oil, gas, power, renewables, metals, as well as broad vertical deal experience across up, mid, and downstream transactions. This role will play a critical role in investment analysis, financial due diligence, and help form part of the investment team.

About the Role

• Candidate's must possess both a strong technical skillset and commercial acumen.
• Financial due diligence and analysis looking at deals across North America.
• Support negotiations and execute agreements.
• Heavy emphasis on creating and reviewing financial models, so strong modelling skills (DCF, etc) are a must.
• Ideal candidates will have meaningful M&A experience within an investment bank, energy corporate, investment fund or similar within the energy sector.
• Any vertical will be considered - O&G, Upstream, Midstream, Power, Renewables, Metals/Mining - provided the candidate is open to a broad role.
• Candidates should come with experience within investment banking, private equity, or similar corporate development background within an Energy/Natural Resources company.

Qualifications

• At least <5 years of M&A/investment experience
• Accredited degree in Finance, Economics, or similar/relevant area
• Strong analytical and modeling skills (DCF, etc)
• Creative problem-solving ability
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask various projects effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong fundamental understanding of finance and valuation principles
• Demonstrated ability and experience developing and managing complex financial models
• Commercial acumen
